Kokomo Gains 8-2 Victory Over Quincy

The Kokomo Jackrabbits defeated the Quincy Gems 8-2 Tuesday night in the first of the two game series in Kokomo. The Jackrabbits improve their overall record to 15-14.
#23 Sal Taormina (Kean University) scored in the second inning to tie the game early on, 1-1. #9 Milo Freeman (Rutgers University) hit a RBI triple in the fifth to score both #8 CJ Price (Washington University in St. Louis) and #3 Mark Zimmerman (Baldwin Wallace University), giving the Jackrabbits back the lead, 3-2.
Kokomo really came to life in the sixth inning when Price, #20 Shea Molitor (Valparaiso University), #26 Evan Nelson (Western Michigan University), #10 Chris Amato (Kean University), and Zimmerman each scored, improving the lead to 8-2.
Price was named Player of the Game for the second consecutive game for three base hits, two RBI’s, two scores, and two stolen bases.
The two teams will meet again Wednesday, June 30th to complete the series. The List will be at Kokomo Municipal Stadium to perform and continue the "That 80s Game" home stand. Come out and celebrate with the Kokomo Jackrabbits at their brand new, award winning stadium!
