Kokomo, IN-April 12th, 2016 - The Kokomo Jackrabbits in partnership with WIOU (1350 AM) today announced that all 30 Jackrabbits home games will be broadcast over the air on its station. The partnership includes a media partnership in addition to the broadcast allowing the team and radio station to become marketing partners. Chris Lowry will return to the Jackrabbits to call the play-by-play. Last year’s broadcasts were aired over the internet.

"All of our stations are very community-minded and this is a great opportunity for our community, our stations, and Jackrabbits fans. It's what our listeners want. Fans can now listen even if they're not at the game. This is a good partnership between WIOU and the Jackrabbits, there was no reason not to join forces. Not only will WIOU broadcast all home Jackrabbits games but the partnership will extend to all three stations (ESPN 1350 AM, WZWZ 92.5 FM, and Rock WMYK 98.5 FM) with commercials, giveaways, and Jessica Green entertaining fans between innings at the ballpark.", said Camilla Plum, WIOU General Manager.

“As if the new crop of exciting talent and an award-winning ballpark are not enough, I am excited that play-by-play coverage of the Jackrabbits has expanded. While I certainly enjoyed broadcasting via the internet stream last year, this season the home games will also be carried live on the radio on 1350 AM, WIOU and I will continue to feature pre-game and post-game interviews with the players and manager. I am confident that even more fans this season will be walking past the turnstiles in downtown Kokomo and I can't wait to see everyone at the 'ole ballpark!" said Jackrabbits broadcaster Chris Lowry.
