Freeman's Home Run Claims Victory for Kokomo

The Kokomo Jackrabbits and Danville Dans met Thursday night at Kokomo Municipal Stadium to begin a two game series. The Jackrabbits took the lead in the bottom of the ninth to take the win, 6-5.
 
#9 Milo Freeman (Rutgers University) got the Jackrabbits on the board early on after scoring in the first inning.
 
#10 Chris Amato (Kean Univeristy), #7 Reilly Hawkins (Kent State University), and #3 Mark Zimmerman (Baldwin Wallace University) each crossed the plate to give Kokomo a 4-2 lead in the seventh.

After the Dans took the lead 5-4 in the top of the ninth, Freeman hit a walk off home run to score Hawkins and claim an exciting victory over Danville, 6-5.

Freeman was later named Coca-Cola Player of the Game for scoring two runs, hitting a single, two RBI's and his walk off home run.
 
The two teams meet again tomorrow in Danville, Illinois to complete the home/away two game series. Kokomo will be back at their home stadium on Saturday, July 18th to face the West Virginia Miners at 7:05 p.m. The Jackrabbits will be kicking off their "The Great Outdoors" home stand with a "Camp Out & Movie" night following the game.
